I am really enjoying the newsletter that you do, it makes me think about stuff that I hardly ever think about. We are in "another country" and this place makes me feel very grateful for what I have, and how lucky I am to be born somewhere else. You appreciate your life more when you see what other options are out there...

*Feed Your Soul
“To open your heart, to feel more,
to sense the meaning of life, to experience your own depth – make it your
business today to seek the sustenance that will truly nourish your spirit”
Daphne Rose Kingma: A Garland of Love
Our way of life is one of constantly
being busy. If we take a closer look at this busyness, what are we really doing
all the time? How many of our actions make us grow as persons and bring us
closer to our essence…?
Of course, we need to have a job, to
make a living, but what about our spare time? How often do we do things that really feed our soul when
we’re “off duty”?
Try to make a list of activities
that feeds your soul. Such a list might include things like:
·
Listening to (classical) music
·
Keeping your surroundings beautiful
·
Meditating or doing yoga
·
Doing something for others
·
Taking long, silent walks in nature
·
Writing or reading poetry
Can you take the time this week to
do something that opens your heart, lets you feel your own depth, and brings
you closer to the meaning of your life?
Have a good week! J
