I'm finding myself really struggling again as I witness my daughter's pain and suffering, and still no diagnosis to be able and help her. I must work harder on seeing miracles again. Thank you for reminding me!
Miracle Thinking
Miracle Thinking
There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
Albert Einstein
Sometimes, we become overpowered by life. There is too much going on within and around us, and the only thing we seem to be busy with is keeping our noses above the surface. During such periods we just struggle with life, or rush past next to it. We don’t really see anything, and we try not to feel anything either. Nothing is a miracle.
Then, suddenly, something makes us slow down. Perhaps we recover from the illness we had, perhaps a difficult situation is solved… We open our eyes and our minds, and see the world around us again. We might even wonder how we could miss all its beauty before? Suddenly everything is a miracle!
It is a gift to walk through life like a child, with a sense of wonder and awe. If we don’t have that gift, we can actually cultivate it. We can learn to stop along your way to take in all different facets of life: seeing the stunning patterns of a stone, hearing the happy pitch in somebody’s voice, smelling the faint scent of a wild flower. Everything IS a miracle, we just have to realise it.
